The Himalayans theme is developed around a harmonious pattern of colours. The exciting and original main fabric is knitted, not woven. Chenille yarns form horizontal bands of colour reminiscent of a jersey poncho stripe, This Scandinavian-inspired knit brings a fresh twist to the theme whilst the back features a sumptuous plain velvet with a lustrous finish, adding an intriguing combination of texture to the collection. The subtle two-tone velvets bring the soft cosiness of northern winters into homes and adding a touch of Polars completes the picture.
It is Covvers’ choice not only to produce at a superior level in Belgium, but also to help people. Our cushions are produced by Kunnig, a remarkable company in Antwerp that gives work opportunities to less fortunate but highly skilled people. Each order is tailor-made so that we can provide work all year round, which ensures regular productions without leaving waste. The cooperation, passion and gratitude of the people is heartwarming.
|Craftmanship is at the heart of Covvers, in the choice of beautiful fibers, in the creation of exclusive combinations, in the sophisticated colour palette drawn from nature and in the expertise of weavers with whom it chooses to work.|
All fabrics are produced in Europe and many are woven in Belgium, so our footprint on the environment is kept as small as possible. We only work with authentic, traditional fabrics and with respect for ecological productions, unharmful to people or environment.
|Covvers works closely with the highest quality mills, often family owned and usually with artistic skills in weaving, dyeing and finishing that go back several generations. They produce fabrics that whisper luxury and always seek that fine balance between authenticity and originality.|
